Ingredients
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 1/3 c. hot water
- 3 c. cut beets (already cooked)
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Method
- Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt.
- Stir into brown vinegar. Blend.
- Add 1/3 cup hot water.
- Cook on medium heat and stir constantly, approximately 3 minutes or until thick.
- Pour over diced or cut beets and butter.
- Let stand in syrup 30 minutes. Serve hot.
