Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger or ground chuck
  • 5 potatoes, diced
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • garlic powder to taste

Method

  • Brown hamburger.
  • Drain fat from hamburger.
  • Add the diced potatoes, sliced carrots and diced onion to the hamburger.
  • Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder (not garlic salt).
  • Add water to just cover veggies.
  • Cover and simmer until veggies are tender and broth has thickened.
  • Serve with salad and hot rolls.
