Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 2 c. diced celery
  • 1 can mixed Chinese veggies, drained
  • 1 can bean sprouts, drained
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 2 Tbsp. cold water
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. brown gravy sauce

Method

  • Add to meat mixture.
  • Cook until slightly thickened, stirring constantly.
  • Serve hot over cooked rice for chop suey or fried noodles for chow mein.
