Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 medium carrots, sliced thin
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 soup can milk
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced thin
  • American cheese slices (enough to cover top of casserole)

Method

  • Lightly brown hamburger meat in skillet; drain.
  • Butter a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish.
  • Pour in the browned hamburger meat and spread.
  • Add sliced potatoes.
  • Add salt and pepper over potatoes. Add sliced carrots.
  • Add onions.
  • Mix celery soup and milk; mix good and pour over all of this.
  • Top with cheese slices.
  • Cover and bake for about 1 hour at 350°.
  • Uncover; bake 15 minutes more.
