Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. ground (cooked or canned) ham
  • 4 oz. American cheese, grated
  • 1/4 c. finely chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 c. finely chopped onion
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 2 egg yolks, beaten
  • 2 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 2 stiffly beaten egg whites
  • mushroom sauce

Method

  • Combine ham, cheese, green pepper and onion.
  • Stir in milk, egg yolks and bread crumbs.
  • Fold in egg whites.
  • Fill 6 greased 6 ounce custard cups.
  • Bake in pan of hot water at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes or until set.
  • Turn out on plates.
  • Top with mushroom sauce.
  • Serve hot.
  • Makes 6 servings.
