Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. ground (cooked or canned) ham
- 4 oz. American cheese, grated
- 1/4 c. finely chopped green pepper
- 1/4 c. finely chopped onion
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 2 egg yolks, beaten
- 2 c. soft bread crumbs
- 2 stiffly beaten egg whites
- mushroom sauce
Method
- Combine ham, cheese, green pepper and onion.
- Stir in milk, egg yolks and bread crumbs.
- Fold in egg whites.
- Fill 6 greased 6 ounce custard cups.
- Bake in pan of hot water at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes or until set.
- Turn out on plates.
- Top with mushroom sauce.
- Serve hot.
- Makes 6 servings.
