Ingredients
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1 c. or more cooked ham, finely diced
- 1 1/2 c. finely diced raw potatoes
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground pepper
- 3 1/2 c. milk
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/4 c. flour
Method
- Saute onions, ham, celery and potatoes on low heat for 10 minutes (in melted margarine).
- Stir in flour until blended.
- Add milk gradually, stirring constantly; bring to simmer or until chowder is thickened.
- Do not boil.
