Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup gruyere cheese
  • 4 tablespoon melted salted butter
  • 2 tablespoon sour cream or other moisturizer
  • Chopped herbs (optional)

Method

  • Preheat oven to 400
  • Grease muffin pans
  • Fry bacon for 6-8 min, remove with tongs, dry with paper towel, crumble bacon
  • Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl
  • Whisk eggs, melted butter, sour cream and milk in separate bowl
  • Add egg mixture to dry ingredients and mix together
  • Using rubber spatula, fold in cheese, bacon and herbs
  • Spoon batter into muffin tins
  • Bake for 20-25 min until golden
