Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 6 slices of bacon
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup gruyere cheese
- 4 tablespoon melted salted butter
- 2 tablespoon sour cream or other moisturizer
- Chopped herbs (optional)
Method
- Preheat oven to 400
- Grease muffin pans
- Fry bacon for 6-8 min, remove with tongs, dry with paper towel, crumble bacon
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl
- Whisk eggs, melted butter, sour cream and milk in separate bowl
- Add egg mixture to dry ingredients and mix together
- Using rubber spatula, fold in cheese, bacon and herbs
- Spoon batter into muffin tins
- Bake for 20-25 min until golden
