Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground steak
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1/4 c. salad oil
  • 1 green onion
  • 1 c. red and green peppers
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ginger

Method

  • Cut beef into thin strips.
  • Combine soy sauce, garlic, ginger and beef.
  • Set aside.
  • Heat oil in a large frying pan.
  • Add beef over high heat until brown.
  • If not tender, cover and simmer 30 to 40 minutes over low heat.
  • Turn heat up; add vegetables.
  • Stir until vegetables are crisp, about 10 minutes.
  • Mix cornstarch with water; add to pan.
  • Stir until thickened.
  • Add tomatoes and heat through.
