Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground steak
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1/4 c. salad oil
- 1 green onion
- 1 c. red and green peppers
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 c. water
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 1/2 tsp. ginger
Method
- Cut beef into thin strips.
- Combine soy sauce, garlic, ginger and beef.
- Set aside.
- Heat oil in a large frying pan.
- Add beef over high heat until brown.
- If not tender, cover and simmer 30 to 40 minutes over low heat.
- Turn heat up; add vegetables.
- Stir until vegetables are crisp, about 10 minutes.
- Mix cornstarch with water; add to pan.
- Stir until thickened.
- Add tomatoes and heat through.
