Ingredients

  • 1 (10 oz.) frozen baby limas
  • 1 whole onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce

Method

  • Boil lima beans and whole onion until beans are tender. Drain; chop onion and return to beans.
  • Add green pepper, celery and tomato sauce.
  • Mix and pour into casserole.
  • Top with raw bacon slices.
  • Bake uncovered at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes, watching that bacon does not burn.
  • Serves 4 (can be doubled).
