Ingredients

  • 2 lb. steak
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, pressed
  • 1/2 tsp. red chili powder
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans pinto beans
  • 1 (1 lb.) chopped tomatoes
  • 5 large potatoes, cubed
  • 1 (6 oz.) hot green chiles
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 4 c. water
  • 5 beef bouillon cubes
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Saute onions while cutting meat into small pieces.
  • Brown meat and onions in a little oil, just until meat is grayish.
  • Put all ingredients in big pot with onion and meat.
  • Cover and simmer 5 to 6 hours.
  • Stir often.
  • Great with flour tortillas.
