Ingredients
- 2 pkg. (10 oz. each) frozen French-style green beans
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 can water chestnuts, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 tsp. tarragon or basil, crumbled
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 (3 oz.) can French fried onions
Method
- Cook beans according to package instructions; drain well.
- In a large bowl, combine mushroom soup, milk, water chestnuts, tarragon or basil and salt and pepper.
- Mix well and stir in beans.
- Place in a buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole dish and sprinkle with onions.
- Bake at 350° for about 20 minutes, or until bubbly and onions are crispy.
- Makes 6 servings.
