Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound beef, sirloin steak cut in thin strips
  • 1 large onions cut in wedges
  • 1 each sweet red bell peppers cut in strips
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 package demi-glace
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano dried

Method

  • In a large skillet heat oil over med-high heat.
  • Add beef and onion, stir fry 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add peppers and continue to cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Stir in water and red wine, sauce mix, orange rind, and oregano.
  • Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
  • Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Serve on couscous or rice, garnish with chopped parsley.
