Ingredients
- 1 soup bone
- 1 lb. boneless soup meat
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 can stewed tomatoes
- 1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
- 2 medium potatoes
- some type of pasta (macaroni, spaghetti or noodles)
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- In a large stew pan, place the bone and meat with about 3 quarts of water.
- Bring to a boil.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Simmer this for about 20 minutes, then place the tomatoes and sliced onion with the meat and water.
- Cook this for about 1 1/2 hours at a medium boil.
- Then add the frozen vegetables and potatoes (which have been diced coarsely).
- About 20 minutes before you are ready to serve the soup, add the pasta.
