Ingredients
- 1 pkg. Red Star fast rise yeast
- 2 c. warm water
- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 1 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 7 c. plain flour
Method
- Dissolve yeast in warm water.
- Add mashed potatoes, shortening, sugar and salt.
- Cover and let stand in warm place until bubbly.
- Work in flour.
- Knead several minutes.
- Put in bowl and cover.
- Put in refrigerator.
- Take out and shape rolls 1 hour before baking at 400°.
