Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 large can tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. wide noodles
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. sliced Mozzarella cheese

Method

  • In Dutch oven saute onion and pepper in oleo for 3 minutes. Add the meat and brown, breaking up with spoon as it cooks.
  • Add salt, black pepper and sugar.
  • Stir in the tomatoes, tomato sauce and water.
  • Heat mixture to boiling.
  • Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
