- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. oleo
- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 large can tomatoes, chopped
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 2 c. water
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. wide noodles
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. sliced Mozzarella cheese
Method
- In Dutch oven saute onion and pepper in oleo for 3 minutes. Add the meat and brown, breaking up with spoon as it cooks.
- Add salt, black pepper and sugar.
- Stir in the tomatoes, tomato sauce and water.
- Heat mixture to boiling.
- Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
