Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- sour cream
- 1 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
Method
- Cream shortening and sugar.
- Add eggs, vanilla, soda, salt and baking powder.
- Mix well; set aside.
- In a separate bowl, pour milk and add vinegar.
- Let stand 3 minutes.
- Alternate flour and sour cream in shortening mixture; stir well.
- Drop onto slightly greased cookie sheet.
- Sprinkle with cookie decorations or colored sugar crystals.
- Bake at 350° until slightly brown around edges.
