Ingredients

  • 1 envelope plain gelatin
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. cold water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. whipped topping
  • 12 graham crackers, crushed
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. melted butter

Method

  • Put gelatin in cold water and let stand while egg yolks, sugar, milk and salt are being cooked to a custard.
  • Remove from heat, add gelatin, stirring until dissolved and set aside to cool. Add vanilla and beaten egg whites to cooled custard.
  • Fold in whipped topping.
  • Crumble graham crackers.
  • Mix with brown sugar and butter.
