Ingredients
- 4 3/4 c. flour
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
Method
- In a large bowl combine 1
- 1/2 cups of flour and yeast. Heat milk, sugar, butter
- and
- salt
- until
- butter
- is
- almost melted, stirring
- constantly.
- Add
- milk
- mixture to
- flour mixture; add eggs.
- Beat with
- electric
- mixer
- on low for 30 seconds. Beat on high for
- minutes
- (dough
- will be soft). Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface.
- Knead in remaining flour. Shape dough into
- ball. Place dough in lightly greased bowl; turn once. Cover
- with
- warm,
- damp
- towel; let rise in a warm place until double (about 1 1/2 hours).
