Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 c. onion rings
  • 1/2 lb. Velveeta, cubed
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 2 (9 oz. each) pkg. whole green beans, thawed and drained
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/2 c. crushed buttery crackers

Method

  • Heat oven to 350°.
  • Fry bacon until crisp; remove from skillet.
  • Drain fat, reserving 1 tablespoon.
  • Cook and stir onion in reserved fat.
  • Add Velveeta and milk; stir until cheese is melted.
  • Crumble bacon.
  • Add bacon, beans and pepper to skillet; mix lightly.
  • Spoon into a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
  • Top with cracker crumbs. Bake 15 minutes.
