Ingredients
- 1 c. hot mashed potatoes
- 1 1/2 c. scalded milk
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. margarine
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. salt
- 5 c. self-rising flour
Method
- Boil and mash potatoes.
- Add margarine, eggs, sugar and milk. When lukewarm, add yeast and mix well.
- Add flour and salt.
- Put in greased bowl, let rise until doubled, then punch down.
- Let rise again, roll out and cut.
- Let rise until light.
- Deep fry in hot oil until golden.
- Drain and glaze while still warm.
