Ingredients

  • 20 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 qt. french vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 1 can (5 oz.) evaporated milk
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 oz. bittersweet chocolate
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • Whipped cream
  • Slivered almonds, toasted

Method

  • Combine cookie crumbs and melted butter; pack into pie pan to make crust; freeze.
  • Spoon in ice cream; store in freezer.
  • Combine evaporated milk, butter, sugar, chocolate and vanilla in saucepan; cook over low heat until sauce is smooth, stirring frequently.
  • Let cool.
  • Serve pie topped with sauce, whipped cream and slivered almonds.
