Ingredients
- 6 slices bread
- 1/2 doz. eggs
- 2 c. milk
- 1 lb. bulk sausage
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Method
- Remove crust from bread and spread with margarine.
- Place buttered side down in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch casserole dish.
- Mix eggs, milk, salt and dry mustard.
- Fry sausage, drain and crumble. Sprinkle sausage over bread, then add egg and milk mixture. Top with cheese. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours, better if it sits overnight.
- Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes. Good for breakfast or brunch.
