Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 tbsp sugar
Method
- Preheat oven 350, bowl combine flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves: set aside
- Large mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar, egg, molasses.
- stir in flour with wooden spoon
- Shape dough into 1 1/2 balls.
- Roll balls in the 2 Tbsp Sugar.
- Place about 2 1/2 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 10 mins or until lightly browned but still puffed.
- Do Not Overbake.
- Let stand on cookie sheet for 2 mins.
- Transfer to wire rack: cool Makes 24
