Ingredients
- 2 lb. string beans
- 4 strips bacon
- 1 small onion
- 4 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
Method
- Cut string beans into bite-size pieces and boil in salt water until tender.
- Fry bacon until crisp, add onions (cut in rings) to bacon dripping and well drained beans, vinegar and sugar; mix well.
- Add crumbled crispy bacon and serve hot.
- Serves 8.
