Ingredients

  • 20 small potatoes, cooked, peeled and sliced
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 4 slices bacon, cubed and fried golden brown
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 heaping Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt or more to taste
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Method

  • Add onion to potatoes.
  • Cube and fry bacon until golden brown. Remove bacon from pan.
  • To bacon fat, add butter and flour.
  • Stir and cook and add vinegar, water, sugar, salt and pepper.
  • Let come to a boil and pour over potatoes.
  • Add bacon cubes.
  • Serves about 6 people.
