Ingredients
- 6 c. cooked, sliced, peeled potatoes
- 6 bacon strips
- 3/4 c. chopped onions
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2/3 c. cider vinegar
- 1 1/3 c. water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
Method
- In a large skillet, fry bacon until crisp; remove; set aside. Cook onion in 3 tablespoons of bacon drippings until done.
- Stir in flour, mix well.
- Add water and vinegar; cook until slightly thickened.
- Add sugar and cook until sugar dissolves.
- Crumble bacon and add to mixture with potatoes.
- Heat, stirring lightly to coat the potatoes.
- Serve warm.
- Serves 6 to 8.
