Ingredients

  • 1 (4 oz.) German sweet chocolate
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 2/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch or 6 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/3 c. coconut
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 2 pie shells

Method

  • Melt
  • butter
  • and
  • chocolate on low heat.
  • Blend.
  • Turn off heat.
  • Add milk and set aside.
  • Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, eggs,
  • vanilla
  • and chocolate mix. Pour in pie shells. Combine coconut and pecans.
  • Sprinkle over pie.
  • Bake at 375° for 45 to 50 minutes. Cover with foil last 15 minutes.
