Ingredients
- 1 (4 oz.) German sweet chocolate
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 2/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch or 6 Tbsp. flour
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/3 c. coconut
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 2 pie shells
Method
- Melt
- butter
- and
- chocolate on low heat.
- Blend.
- Turn off heat.
- Add milk and set aside.
- Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, eggs,
- vanilla
- and chocolate mix. Pour in pie shells. Combine coconut and pecans.
- Sprinkle over pie.
- Bake at 375° for 45 to 50 minutes. Cover with foil last 15 minutes.
