Ingredients
- 3 sticks butter
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 c. cake flour
- 8 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. butternut flavor*
Method
- Cream butter.
- Add sugar; cream well.
- Beat together eggs and cream of tartar.
- Alternately with flour, then beat for 10 minutes by the clock.
- Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 325° for 1 hour, until done.
