Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, diced
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed hot red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Method

  • Heat oil in a large skillet on medium heat. Brown chicken 5 minutes per side, then remove chicken from skillet. Add onion and garlic to skillet and cook until brown. Gradually stir in water until sauce thickens. Return chicken to skillet; simmer, covered, stirring occasionally for 20 minutes or until chicken is tender. Add red pepper flakes and salt. Simmer for 5 minutes longer.
