Ingredients
- 1/2 c. quick cooking grits
- 2 1/4 c. boiling water
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 stick oleo
- 1 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Method
- Mix grits, water and salt.
- Cook until done; set aside and cool.
- Melt oleo and cheese.
- Add to cooked grits, with egg, milk and garlic powder.
- Put in greased casserole dish.
- Sprinkle 1/2 cup cornflakes on top.
- Bake 35 minutes at 350°.
- Excellent with ham.
