Ingredients

  • squirrel
  • rabbit
  • grouse
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 3 red potatoes, diced
  • carrots
  • salt and pepper
  • garlic powder
  • 1 or 2 bay leaves
  • 2 tsp. thyme

Method

  • In a large stock pot, put in game (it doesn't matter how much of what you have, I find that about 3 or 4 pounds of meat is good). Fill pot 3/4 full with cold water, add the seasoning.
  • Bring to a boil 1/2 hour.
  • Add onion, celery, carrots and potatoes and simmer about 2 to 3 hours.
  • Pull meat from pot and debone.
  • Add meat to pot and boil; add pot pie bows or make your own dough and add to pot.
  • When noodles are done, serve.
