Ingredients
- 2 c. self rising cornmeal
- 1/2 c. self rising flour
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 bell pepper, grated
- 1 to 1 1/4 c. buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 1 small can whole kernel corn, drained
Method
- Mix well
- with spoon, onion, bell pepper and corn.
- Add cornmeal, flour, egg and buttermilk.
- Mix well.
- Drop by 1/2 teaspoonfuls in hot oil.
- Cook until brown.
- Drain on paper towels.
