Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • powdered sugar
  • cinnamon powder (optional)

Method

  • Heat 2-inches deep of oil in skillet.
  • Heat oil until hot, but not smoking.
  • Take batter, pour it through funnel into hot oil, moving in a circular motion, then crisscross until you've made a cake the size of a plate or smaller.
  • When lightly browned, remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Dredge or sprinkle in powdered sugar and sprinkle with cinnamon powder.
  • Best when eaten warm.
