Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust, unbaked
  • 4 oz. sweet cooking chocolate
  • 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate *
  • 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1-1/4 cup pecan halves,
  • pieces
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • butter

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • In saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate with butter.
  • Stir in condensed milk and hot water.
  • Remove from heat; stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Pour into prepared pie crust.
  • Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until center is set.
  • Cool slightly.
  • Serve warm or chilled.
  • Garnish with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
  • Refrigerate left overs.
