Ingredients
- 3/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 2/3 c. vegetable oil
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Method
- Stir cocoa and baking soda in mixing bowl.
- Blend in 1/3 cup oil.
- Add boiling water.
- Stir until mixture thickens.
- Stir in sugar, eggs and remaining 1/3 cup oil.
- Stir until smooth.
- Add flour, vanilla and salt.
- Blend completely.
- Pour into lightly greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan or two 8-inch square pans.
- Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes for a 13 x 9-inch pan or 30 to 32 minutes for an 8-inch square pan.
- Cool.
- Frost, if desired.
