Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 4 Tbsp cocoa
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Method

  • Melt butter.
  • Add sugar and cocoa.
  • Mix well.
  • Alternate adding dry ingredients with milk.
  • Add vanilla and chopped nuts.
  • Pour into a greased 8 x 12 pan.
  • Pour sauce over batter and bake at 350° for about 35 minutes.
  • The sauce goes to the bottom while baking and makes a creamy, rich topping.
  • Serve with ice cream or Cool Whip.
