Ingredients
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate morsels (1 c.)
- 1 c. miniature marshmallows
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- vanilla wafers
- 1 qt. vanilla ice cream
- whole pecans or walnuts
Method
- Put milk, chocolate morsels, marshmallows and salt into a heavy 1-quart saucepan.
- Stir over medium heat until chocolate and marshmallows melt completely and mixture thickens.
- Take off heat. Cool to room temperature.
- Line bottom and sides of 9-inch pie pan with vanilla wafers.
- Spoon half of 1 quart vanilla ice cream over the wafers.
- Cover with half of chocolate mixture.
- Place whole nuts on top.
- Freeze until firm, 3 to 5 hours.
