Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 c. cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
  • ice cream
  • hot fudge sauce

Method

  • Beat eggs in a small mixing bowl; blend in sugar and melted butter or margarine.
  • Combine flour, cocoa and salt; add to butter mixture.
  • Stir in vanilla and nuts.
  • Pour into lightly greased 8-inch pie plate.
  • Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until almost set (pie will not test done).
  • Cool.
  • Cut into wedges. Serve topped with ice cream and hot fudge sauce.
  • Makes 6 to 8 servings.
