Ingredients
- 1 c. butter, margarine or buttery Crisco
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- food colors (yellow, green and red)
- 1 1/2 tsp. lemon peel, grated
- 1 1/2 tsp. orange peel, grated
- 1 1/2 tsp. lime peel, grated
- sugar, colored yellow, orange and green
Method
- Mix thoroughly butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
- Blend in flour and salt.
- Divide dough into 4 equal parts.
- To one part, work in
- few drops yellow food color and the lemon peel.
- To another part, work in green food color and lime peel.
- To another, work in orange food color and orange peel.
- Leave remaining part plain.
- Cover and chill 1 hour.
