Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 level Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 c. pineapple juice
  • juice of 1 orange
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. sliced bananas
  • 1 c. coarsely chopped apples
  • 1 c. drained pineapple tidbits
  • 1 c. sliced fresh strawberries or cherries

Method

  • Combine sugar and flour in saucepan.
  • Combine beaten egg and fruit juices; gradually blend with flour-sugar mixture.
  • Cook over low heat until mixture thickens, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat; add butter and cool. Fold in bananas, apples and pineapple.
  • Put into a dish; garnish with strawberries or cherries.
  • Cover and chill.
  • Yields 4 to 6 servings.
