Ingredients

  • 1 lb. pineapple
  • 1 lb. dates
  • 1 lb. cherries
  • 1 lb. white raisins
  • 6 c. nuts
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3 tsp. soda dissolved in 3 tsp. sweet milk
  • 1 fruit juice glass brandy or grape juice
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 4 eggs

Method

  • Cream butter and sugar.
  • Add egg yolks.
  • Add 2 cups flour sifted with spices, alternately with soda, milk and brandy.
  • Add fruit and nuts which have been dredged with the rest of the flour. Add beaten egg whites.
  • Last, drop on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 20 minutes in 300° oven.
