Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. Brer Rabbit molasses*
- 1/4 c. raisins or other fruit
- 1/8 c. butter
- 2 sq. chocolate, melted
- 1/2 c. nuts, cut fine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Put the sugar, milk and molasses in a saucepan.
- Stir until dissolved.
- Boil to 238° or until a little of the mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water.
- Stir in the butter and chocolate.
- Allow to cool.
- Beat until creamy.
- Add nuts, fruits and vanilla.
- Pour into greased tins.
- When cool, cut into squares.
