Ingredients
- 4 c. flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 pt. (2 c.) sour cream
Method
- Mix thoroughly all dry ingredients.
- Cut in shortening as if making a pie crust.
- Add sour cream.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Roll out dough; cut into biscuits.
- Place on a cookie sheet and freeze. Place frozen biscuits in bag and use as needed.
- When ready to bake, butter both top and bottom of biscuits.
- Bake in a 450° oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
- (The biscuits do not need to be thawed before baking.)
