Ingredients
- green tomatoes, washed and sliced, cut 1/16 to 1/8-inch thick
- salt
- flour
- shortening or oil
Method
- Wash and slice tomatoes.
- Salt both sides.
- Pat into flour, coating well.
- Fry in shortening or oil on medium heat until just golden brown on each side.
- Lift out with fork and drain on paper towels.
