Ingredients
- Ginger- Large chunk
- 1-1/2 C all pupose flour
- 2 Tbs cornstarch
- 2Tbs baking powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1-3/4 C ice water
Method
- Prepare the batter 30 minutes before using Mix all the batter ingredients, stirring until smooth.
- Heat oil and add large chunk of ginger in pan.
- Dip the chicken in the batter; fry few pieces at a time in medium to high heat (about 5 minutes for chicken wings). Drain on paper towels.
