Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup ripe bananas, peeled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 tbsp. walnuts, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp. pecans, finely chopped
  • 16 wonton wrappers
  • 1 lg. egg, beaten
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Powdered sugar (optional)

Method

  • Gently mix bananas, brown sugar, graham cracker crumbs, walnuts and pecans in a medium bowl.
  • (Do not mash bananas) Lay the wonton wrappers on work surface and brush edges with egg.
  • Spoon 1-1/2 heaping teaspoons of banana filling into the center of each wrapper.
  • Fold wrappers diagonally over filling.
  • Press edges to seal.
  • Place on tray lined with plastic wrap.
  • Add enough oil to a heavy pan to 2 inches in depth.
  • Heat over medium high heat to 350F.
  • Working in batches, add ravioli; cook until golden brown, about 45 seconds per side.
  • Using a slotted spoon transfer to paper towels to drain.
  • Dust with powdered sugar.
