Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. oil
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 c. chopped raw apples
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 2 Tbsp. powdered sugar

Method

  • Mix in large bowl the oil, baking powder, sugar, vanilla, eggs, flour, salt, baking soda, pecans, and apples.
  • Pour into a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  • Bake for 1 hour at 325°. To prepare icing, combine butter, milk, brown sugar and powdered sugar in a saucepan and cook for 1 minute. Pour over cake.
