Ingredients
- 1 (8 to 9-inch) baked pie shell
- 1 stick butter (not margarine)
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 sq. bittersweet chocolate, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
- toasted almonds, chopped
- whipping cream, whipped
Method
- Beat butter until fluffy.
- Add sugar and continue to beat. Add chocolate and vanilla.
- Add eggs, one at a time.
- It is important to beat well after each addition.
- Fold in pecans, if desired.
- Pour into baked pie shell.
- Chill.
