Ingredients
- 5 c. sliced Spanish onions
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 qt. water
- 1/4 tsp. sugar
- 3 cans beef broth
Method
- Cook butter, sugar and onion until golden.
- Add broth and water; simmer 45 minutes.
- Top with garlic toast and cheese.
- Bake at 400° until toasted and cheese melts.
