Ingredients
- 1 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 4 c. sifted white flour
Method
- Dissolve yeast in water.
- Add salt, butter and 2 cups of flour.
- Stir with spoon.
- Add 2 more cups of flour.
- Turn out and knead dough until smooth (about 6 to 8 minutes).
- Place in a buttered bowl and turn surface until coated with butter.
- Let rise until double in bulk (about 1 1/2 to 2 hours).
